What is monos titi?

Monos titi, also known as the cotton-top tamarin, is a small species of monkey that is native to the tropical forests of Colombia. They have a distinctive white crest of hair on their head, which gives them their name. Monos titi are social animals and live in groups of up to 13 individuals, typically consisting of a breeding pair and their offspring.

They are omnivores, feeding on a variety of fruits, insects, and small animals. Monos titi have a unique way of communication, using body movements and a complex system of vocalizations, including whistles and purrs.

Unfortunately, monos titi are listed as critically endangered due to habitat loss and fragmentation, as well as being captured for the pet trade. Conservation efforts are being made to protect their populations and their habitat.
